Icici bank forex travel card

I know this is not icici right forum for this question but I'm not sure there is any right forum on TA for this question I think, folks here might have bank answer, so I'm posting here.

What have people's experiences been with the forex travel cards issued by Axis bank, Citibank and ICICI bank, pre-loaded with foreign currency while traveling out of India? On different occasions I've used the Axis Bank card travel UK sterling, Singapore Dollars and Euros.

The card worked fine for withdrawing money from an ATM. Travel when it came to swiping the card at a store, sometimes the card would work and sometimes it wouldn't. I'm planning to use the Citibank World Icici card loaded with US dollars soon. Just wondering how well it forex accepted to pay directly for transactions at stores and restaurants in US cities.

I have to research card travel card to icici abroad Apparently Citibank no longer issues its World Money Card through Thomas Cook. Also it does not issue the World Money Card, if you don't have a Citibank account, even if you have a Citibank Credit Card.

So the Citibank World Money Card is not an option for me. I'm now card ICICI bank's Travel Card loaded with GBP. Thomas Cook is trying to sell me its new multi-currency travel card linked to Mastercard. Don't have all the details yet They have all Citi ,ICICI and Axis and have offices at various location in Mumbai. I had bought Citi World Bank Card although I am travel a CitiBank account holder 7 a credit card holder. If you icici the bank directly they will ask for a bank account with them.

Only the bank customer having an account with them can avail same from the Bank directly. Used a forex card issues by ICICI bank, with no cardholder name on it, extensively all over New York State including NYC icici also all over Florida.

Used it to pay in stores, hotels, self service machines,also used it online on a forex of occasions. Was almost never asked for any i. Found it to be really really convenient. Never carrying cash again. Travel got this CITIBANK WORLD MONEY card for card travel for USA card 10 days. I used travel card icici pay the hotel room charges, which hotel bank in travel as it was pre-paid card. Citibank cleared transaction USD in one transaction. So I had three transaction instead of two i.

When I called them up they said there bank two transaction on forex approval code and another on bank approval code. Bank it means Forex had three transactions on two approval code. When I asked them how could they do it, they said its system problem.

When I asked them to revert the billed amount, they said I had to get merchant approval on email. I HAD TO BORROW MONEY NICE SOUL to whom I could not give money back there because they take 30 days card revert the unclaimed money card vendor.

Bank am forex customer, this is what happened to me. As individual I would never recommend card anybody. Probably the hotel I went, is never going to accept the card. I used the Travel forex card in the UK and had no problems icici acceptance, regarding Card. And all the transactions swiped icici at all the merchants, without any problems. I used it to withdraw cash just once.

I haven't looked at the statement yet to find out how much the charges were for using the ATM. Never failed me and since it is a debit card never run out of money also. Customer Service is SUPER FAST - though Matrix tops the chart with Bank Service - BUT you ahve to be hawk eyes with the fine print.
