Ichimoku forex ea

I am attaching screenshot of the back test that i am doing. I kept the strategy simple and straightforward, with no ADX or any other conditions set. I did not add anything on the entry filter to test the entry strategy, and only used the KS break as my exit, which i usually do on my trades.

You will notice one trade where the EA triggered a Long order and then ichimoku up triggering my exit when KS breaks the ichimoku direction. On these two setups, the KS broke out of the Kumo on either direction, however, no order was triggered on either direction. If you can clarify what is the full condition of the strategies mentioned, it would be highly appreciated.

Kijun Sen Breakout triggering Long. Kijun Sen Breakout but no Trigger to go Long. Kijun Sen Breakout but no Trigger to Short. When I opened your set-file it actually showed ADX filter as Active. Perhaps that explains why there was no trigger in some cases. That is something I try to optimize either in strat. Your Ichimoku Kinko Hyo indicator settings are standard as well. I prefer settings that are optimized in Strategy Tester for each pair and TF.

Perhaps it would be good to play around with the EA for a week or maybe two to get a good feeling of how parameters of the EA affect the trading. I know I did with the first version of the EA while it had only 1 or maybe 2 strategies and zero filters. Even with that simple version I had great results, so it sure paid off for me to spend a lot of time playing with the EA instead of trying to find the best setting immediately.

It is just advice based on what I did myself. Some forex will do really well with Ichi EA while the MA Cross EA will get the best out of another pair.

With all it is important to understand the indicators. I can tell many things, but it all comes to the same thing: I removed the ADX filter and still the same output.

Even if i set the Reverse on Opposite Signal to be true, still, a lot of trades were missed. The same with the Simple Kumo Breakout, when i used as is with only the exit filter enabled with Price above or below Kijun Sen, no trade was placed. Unless there is an actual crossover with the price, and it happen that the price broke out of the Kumo, only then the order will be placed.

That explains why there were a lot of breakout from Kumo and Kijun Sen that was ignored by the EA, because it was trying to figure out where the chikou span is. A clear breakout was shown here, forex no trade was placed by the EA…the reason? The Chikou span, albeit under the price, do now know it was under it because there is no actual crossover with the price that was used as a reference. And for this one, it opens a trade because the Kumo Breakout happens when the chikou span actually crossed over a price that it used as a reference that it was under it.

So maybe if the Chikou Span confirmation can be removed from the strategy, we can have a good better trade. Unless the program can identify the location of the chikou span without waiting for an actual crossover, then this might work.

I think this is something you should address to Yannickthe coder and owner of QuivoFX. Even from the first version of the EA I never used the ChinkouSpan filter in a live situation. Hence, I lack the ichimoku using it with the EA. For proper trading the Ichimoku indicator it of ichimoku is important the ChinkouSpan functions properly in case one wants to use it. There should be 2 filters related to the ChinkouSpan.

Perhaps they might help. Again, I never used them myself. I got spare time next weekend to dig deeper into your post most likely. Greatness…I used the same set file I sent here, and just changed the strategy to Kumo Breakout, with no other entry filters activated.

So far, my forex seems to be correct with the back test result as proof. I am more than willing to test it and give forex my honest feedback, just as how greatness had helped you in all the settings.

My objective in using this EA is to simply automate how I trade, and using a built in strategy would just not make it possible. Kindly check the screenshot of my backtest above and advise why the EA did not forex any trade on the valid kumo breakout forex the strategy I used was a Simple Kumo Breakout. I could post a lot of those breakouts where the EA did not place, but this is just to show you an example where the built in strategy is not working as designed.

Unless we know of the conditions in these strategies would we know what to expect from it. I have found the problem. I have made the backtest 3 times. While the option does provide more trades being opened by the EA, the fact still remains that the Chikou Span is still waiting for an actual crossover from the price before it decides to place forex trade after the price broke out from forex Kumo.

Even if the Chikou ichimoku is already above or below the price when ichimoku price broke out of the Kumo, the EA will not open a position.

If you ichimoku remove the Chikou Span from the Strategy, maybe we can have a better output. Just as greatness mentioned, he never uses the Chikou Span on his trade. Since there is the Chikou Span option on the filter, i would suggest you leave the strategy without the Chikou Span confirmation. The same goes with the Kijun Sen.
